Five-metre “football” pie served to fans in the capital

The "People’s Euro" football festival began on Saturday, 23 June at Andriyivskiy Uzviv (St. Andrew's Descent). Residents of Kyiv and guests were impressed by the unusual feast and celebrations set up by its organizers.

At the start visitors were offered the chance to play BIGFANBall – on a water-inflated field and a pysanka-style football.

Second, they could join in with the knitting of a giant football carpet. Third, see the colorful performances of folklore groups from all over Ukraine and visit exhibitions and workshops of craftsmen. Fourth, watch a football freestyle show. And on top of all this, guests they had the chance to taste a five-metre high "football" cake weighing 250 kg.

The filling of the pie was seasonal: apples, nuts, dried apricots and strawberries. The guests of the feast tasted a sweet piece of the "football" field. The festival will also run on Sunday. In addition to the football entertainment, there is also a children’s playground with popular master classes and competitions for players and fans. A similar "People’s Euro" has already been held in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv within the confines of the charity international football festival "Big Ball".
