After our Euro 2012 Group previews and predictions, we take a look at how we see the rest of the tournament panning out:
- Thursday 21st June: Quarter Final 1: Winner of Group A Vs Runner up of Group B
Russia Vs Germany – Prediction: Germany 2-1
Russia are a strong side but the attacking prowess of the Germany side will be too much for Dick Advocaat’s men.
- Friday 22nd June: Quarter Final 2: Winner of group B Vs Runner up of Group A
Holland Vs Poland – Prediction: Holland 4-0
It’s difficult to see any other result than the Dutch thrashing Poland, especially if Robin Van Persie brings his fantastic goal scoring form into the tournament, even the home support of the Polish faithful won’t be able to stop the flying Dutchman and his team mates.
- Saturday 23rd: Quarter Final 3: Winner of Group C Vs Runner up of Group D
Spain Vs France – Prediction: France 2-1
France are many people’s surprise favourites to dethrone the Spanish from the Euro 2012 title, and should these two meet in the quarterfinals it will be a close game by two attacking minded and technically gifted sides, but with David Villa absent and Fernando Torres far from his best, France will come out on top as they have the strikers who are in form and will bury any chances that come their way.
- Sunday 24th: Quarter Final 4: Winner of Group D Vs Runner up of Group C
England Vs Republic of Ireland – Predictions: England 1-0
If the confidence in England making it out of the group stages is low, then the confidence in them winning the group is even lower yet should they, their opposition could well be the Republic of Ireland: something everyone would love to see. The game would be close and settled by the one goal and it’s difficult to pick a winner as both are riding their luck coming into Euro 2012, however SHUlife sport will give them backing to England.
- Wednesday 27th June: Semi Final 1: Winner of QF1 Vs Winner of QF3
Germany vs France – Prediction: Germany 2-1
After beating Spain in the quarterfinals, SHUlife Sport predicts France’s bottle to go and despite taking the lead in this game, they will let Germany back in to lose 2-1.
- Thursday 28th June: Semi Final 2: Winner of QF2 Vs Winner of QF4
Holland Vs England – Prediction: Holland 3-1
A trip back to Euro ’96 and people will be reminiscing about a 4-1 English victory over the Dutch, a performance that some say was England’s best since the 1966 World Cup Final. However there will be no celebration this time, Holland will toy and then destroy Roy Hodgson’s men as Robin Van Persie nets a hat-trick.
Check back tomorrow for our Final preview and the look at which players will stand out.
